BR4DSH4W

When I was 4 years old, my mother sat me down with a Chinese brush painting kit. And while many other children might have painted a face, truck, or dinosaur... I drew a number 4. This is my first memory of passion for typography, art, and more specifically graphic design.

BR4DSH4W is dedicated to inspiration that stems from that moment.

DI4LOGUE: 4 Questions for My Mother

  • BR4DSH4W: WHAT ARE YOU IMPRESSED WITH?
  • What impresses me most is integrity. I am in awe and want to emulate people who totally live in their honesty and integrity. It isn't easy, and when push comes to shove many cave in to the moment or to the masses. I hope I never do that, in any way that diminishes my integrity and character.
  • BR4DSH4W: WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION?
  • I look to nature and the world around me for inspiration. The birds and the sky at sunset, and the gorgeous flowers that God made. How pure and pristine they are and how simple. I love to get lost in gardening and smells of the earth. It is basic.
  • BR4DSH4W: WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO?
  • I am always trying to listen to my inner voice and heart, as I feel that is where the Omnipotent Creator speaks to us all. We all have that still small voice that is guiding and inspiring. We just have to tune in.
  • BR4DSH4W: HOW DO YOU LIKE TO BEGIN?
  • I guess it depends on what I am beginning. My day, with prayer. My job with order and joy. My relationships, with listening and interaction. My housework with a groan, but determination.
